VOC Destruction and Pollution Control

Ener-Core’s patented Gradual Oxidizer is designed to be used for methane and volatile organic compound (VOC) destruction. The Gradual Oxidizer’s operating temperature and long reaction time is engineered to create the proper environment for methane emissions and VOC destruction. The Gradual Oxidizer’s ability to integrate with a gas turbine means provides the potential of integrated pollution control and electricity generation, producing positive cash flow for the customer over time.

Figure above: VOC concentrations are typically below the level needed to sustain the operation of an Ener-Core Powerstation without the addition of supplementary fuel.  Natural gas or other supplementary fuel is injected into the oxidizer so that VOCs are destroyed and electricity is generated.
