Project Manager

Ener-Core, an early stage company and a recognized leader in green power generation from waste gas, has an immediate need for a Program Manager responsible leading the commercialization of our larger scale power plants.  As a key member of our commercialization team, this candidate will be important contributor to the commercial success of our company.

Candidates must have a Bachelor of Business Administration or Engineering and at least ten years of Project/Program management experience.  The ideal candidate will have direct experience managing programs related to commercializing a product (Product development process).  The Candidate also must have direct experience managing business parts key to commercial success. You will be part of a small, dynamic, and creative company poised for rapid growth.

Individual will be located at Ener-Core’s headquarters in Irvine, CA.  This position requires travel to the company’s fabrication/test sites and business partner sites.   Total travel time is estimated to be 35%.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for commercializing larger scale Ener-Core Powerstations.
• Work directly and manage Business partner relationships.
• Work directly with suppliers, engineers, technicians and customers.
• Responsible for guiding project through the product development process.
• Create presentations and communicate company progress and milestones to business partners.
• Help coordinate activities at test sites and multiple build sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of ten years managing programs involving rotating equipment, gas turbines, reciprocating engines or power plants.
• Must have direct experience commercializing products into production.
• Must have direct experience maintaining and developing commercial relationships.
• Must understand product development processes.
• Must have direct experience managing the production release of low volume products
• Must communicate effectively with vendors, technical resources, and clients
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work both independently and with a team
